Don't you love these things? I like the Vibras, especially in the smaller, trashy sizes.

Zanchi F&F Hi Hats
For the past 48 years I've tried to find something out about these cymbals. I never could fully make out the name. I recently had them cleaned and polished out and the name is FINALLY visible! I checked on line and the encyclopedia here says they were "Probably made in the 1960/s" WRONG!
My friends old man bought them for him in 1958, along with a set of Gretch drums. I've had them since 1960, when he gave them to me after he stopped playing. These are Hi Hats with an incredible sound, because they are extremely thin, and durabale (I've used them as a splash for years).

Cool, Thomas, thanks for the info !...actually, if that essay was from wikipedia, I composed that...all I could do was take an educated guess since there was no info on 'em, as you pointed out. ...so I am glad that we have found someone who can verify there were around before 1960.

Jaye,
How heavy is this one? I had read that many of these are quite thin, though my Zanchi Vibra 14" hi-hats, while they are quite nice, are medium, and my 16" crash is veritably heavy.
