This is the first I've seen of Your Gretsch Leed. Like em. Thought they were Burgundy Sparkle at first..
The lighting of the Pic looks like a lithe young Philly Joe Jones is gonna come around from the Hihat and Sit down........

fellas, this is my first drum kit, which i still have and use. i think they are walnut stain, joe.
my bop kit is not going anywhere. bop sizes are my favorite, but i have a fondness for these trad. rock size drums as well. i am thinking very strongly of selling my zickos rock kit, as this kit sounds so good for pop/rock stuff.
yes, it's a 14x22 bass. i mostly use it totally empty with an unported front head. just towel up against the batter side for tone control. i also have the 16x16, 8x12 and 9x13 toms. i only use 1 upper tom at a time though.
i use it for recording sometimes, and let others use it for recording when they come to my studio. as well, i use it for certain rooms with the pop band i play in. especially if i am going to share my kit.
they really are great sounding drums. they are pretty beat if you look close, and the bass drum hoops are not original, but this kit got me started on the drums and i only had to pay $300 for them.

thanks for the nice comments you guys!
joe, i think maybe you're right.. for a while i considered getting some wood hoops, but i do like how the metal hoops look, except for that glue residue on the one.. about time for a cleaning, at least. but some glitter might be just the ticket.

I didn't even see they were metal Leed. Yes either way (new Precision black ones with inlays) or on top of whats on there. That set deserves it..
