Nice. I always thought Slingerland's BDP was the nicest pattern.

Nothing wrong with them other than being horribly tuned right now.

I need to switch them out with the Ludwigs and get them back home and get them back to a good base tuning. Too much one lug at a time here and there fiddling and not enough systematic tuning has them sounding all wonky now.

No, They like them both, I just want to switch out because I have the Ludwigs dialed in right now tuning-wise, and I want some time in the shed to mess around and get the Slingerlands dialed back in without wasting time tapping and turning at practice.
The slings have sounded great in the past, and still sound pretty good, just a multi-week layoff, weather changes, careless tuning tweaks during practice, and remo heads that were probably never really broken in have alowed some wonkiness in overtones and interval to creep in.

and as expected the Ludwigs sounded amazing today at practice. Can't wait to get the Slingerlands in the shed and dialed in.

So in order to get this weight-loss going (30lbs and countig) booze (all kinds) have been among the many things that have been completely cut out on weekdays. This was the first weekend practice we've had in a bit. It was fun to get together with the dudes and drink some Saturday afternoon cold beers while working out some fun new covers.
