GONE 3-for-2 Hi-Hats (My vintage A's for your?)

GONE - sold (2/3) locally on CL. Keeping the spare top hat for now. Thanks to those who responded,

I've got three vintage A hat singles, which I believe are 60's-era (one is possibly a 50s)... two tops and one bottom. I've been reading all the recent Bosphorus posts which got me thinking... I'd like to try something different. Something that JDA wouldn't like

So, send me your wimpy, poorly-tuned, too-quiet, "nice sounding" anemic pair of hats in exchange for my 3-of-a-pair A's, all dirty but no cracks or keyholes. The two tops sound great together, or you can use either with the bottom; lots of sound options. If you're the type that worries about rough edges don't bother... I can't see any but I'm sure there are some rough spots that'll annoy the heck out of some perfectionist (and my fingers are all calluses).

    From the top down:

    ~825g, lots of patina:

    ~890g, cleaner but some stains:

60's ? "New Beat bottom", ~1300g. If you want meat, this is it:

What do you have? Let's avoid the Big Three... got some Bos (fat hats? masters? vintage?), Agop, Meinl? Something more "modern" sounding? The one thing I'd like to avoid is the ripple-bottom stuff. Thanks!

Recorded with one crappy mic in a bad sounding small room playing very quietly to placate the neighbors
...and yet they sound just fine. Nice playing and a great way to demo them.

That 1300g bottom is right in the middle of the expected range for a New Beat bottom (1100-1500). I used to have a pair which were 975 over 1300 and had the same ink on the bottom. Mine make an appearance in my little essay on New Beats to show the ink and the hammering:

Thanks zenstat! I've spent a lot of time recently at your timeline site -- thank you for such an excellent resource. The stamp on my extra-grimy cymbal is so light that I can't quite determine the stamp height, but the H/E alignment ID is really helpful.

Thanks for the thanks. I had to write down all the info I was collecting so I could remember it all. Brain like a sieve these days.

And I'm always cheered when it entertains and informs other people as well.
