Kent Drums were initially made in New York and later became one of the ubiquitous Japanese stencil brands. A buddy of mine has a US made Kent kit and the bearing edges are crap (inconsistent profile), as well as the hardware. That said, they still have a decent sound, but a limited tuning range. I don't think anyone is collecting them, but the U.S. ones must be getting rare.
