    13" Brass snare

what do you have - not in use
not picky on depth--kinda prefer piccolo
thinking brass-could be stainless steel or aluminum
no steel unless you think it's exceptional.

Don't make me go to a store.
    Guess I'd consider wood shell

may have horrible cymbal to part trade

just tell me what willing to part with

    Nevermind I found one.

Actually I found 1,343,726 of them in price ranging from $1442.54 down to $39.95.

Everything from a cased in a glass case Ludwig Black Beauty scroll engraved 3x13 to a bronze Ludwig 3x13 with a serious acidic fingerprint disease to a showroom shine Pearl brass 3x13 to a brass generic TKO 3x13 located in a Music Go Round in the seediest part of Los Angeles.

I used to own a 13" snare sold it

that's why, I want one, again..

Funny you post that Brad since I was going to say the same thing..but differently. This was the backline snare on a gig and I loved it. 13s are generally not my preference but this was really nice..

Yeah, I think there's a used Pork Pie at DFO for a little less, but if the Ludwig it too much....

neat; leaning toward a 3 x 13 hunk o' brass. Just because it's easy to lift..
    Just want a ' little sound' not a full-on Black Beauty 6.5 x 14 or 7x13.

Even a 3x13 hunk o' brass is tough to find. Ludwig made a Bronze 3x13; most have been trashed..
The Chinese/Taiwan usuals are 4 x 14 (already have that in wood) I want the small 13" and don't need the depth. I might play steel one in person at the " Guitar" shops around here you know the kind of store that has 6 or 7 new percussion items in a corner and where drumsticks are 15$ a pair + tax...

3x13 steels (wood or any material) are seen (I think) as 'student' starter drums_ " let's get junior a drum" _ that he or she discards in three weeks...; perfect for going in ' for the dollar kill' especially used..

    at 15$ currently.....>

I'd go for that Pearl. I've had good luck when playing random Pearl snare drums of all manner as backline.

Ok, let's append: "I'd go for that Pearl...as long as it were $150 or less"
