Is it a nice smooth scalloped edge crack removal ?
Could potentially be filed a little rounder in the bottom of the cutout, but yeah, pretty much.

OK guys, I am going to start photographing and listing these for reverb. I will also post all specific here as I go. They will still be available here and I am willing to deal. I always prefer they go to holics.

Much smaller. Without the entire stamp showing, I'd guesstimate 1 1/4- 1 3/8"

I'd say 100% probability it is a 70s stamp on that cymbal now that we know it isn't a Large Stamp Type III. Of course what matters is how it sounds.

Quite separate from the stamp itself is the hammering (which looks like the small hammer face reciprocating hammer which came into use in the late 60s or so) and the relative evenness of the lathing. There are some aspects of hammering and lathing which might make you think older, but I'm not convinced.

Then there is the year of introduction for the PANG model. The introduction seems to be very early 70s according to a few sources (zildjian catalogs and ads, etc). Possibly late 60s. I've recorded two PANG models with the 60s tall (1.5") stamp on them, and the rest (8 so far) have a 70s stamp. I've been paying close attention because one can still identify a PANG if there is no ink, so looking at the details of which stamps are on them might help elucidate the changeover from the 60s stamp(s) to the 70s stamp. About all we can be sure of at this point is the changeover didn't happen at 11:59 on December 31st, 1969. It was a more gradual process and not timed in sync with the change of decade.

If the MADE IN U.S.A. were present that would make it easy to tell for sure from details on my site. But in the meantime I do have a brand new test which can distinguish a 70s stamp if all you have is the upper portion.
