i recently bought an 18" va crash. the va is similar to a zildjian a and the vk, a zildjian k. i like the va whole lot. i play more towards rock than jazz and i think it's perfect. it's slightly, almost un-noticeably, trashy but with just enough brightness to cut through. i've always had a thing for 60's zildjian a's and this is the closest modern product that i've found. anyone else tried one?

You sure it isn't a cA, or "custom"? Which would be in line with your "like an old A Zildjian" description. Never heard of a vA line from MW.

This custom series is more or less like the traditional from agop. The classic turkish cymbal.

To me the jazzmasters (vk) are the classic turkish cymbals (old style, but made the MW way, like every brand has its own signature) and the custom serie is the most allround line (like the Zils A).
